Uri, Dec 23 (KNO): Amid public concern over the absence of a local fire station and recent blaze incidents in the area, the Directorate of Fire and Emergency Services, Jammu and Kashmir, has ordered the temporary deployment of a fire tender at Boniyar in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
As per an order, a copy which lies within the possession of news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), states that the tender bearing chassis and registration No. 3078/CH, presently attached with the Fire and Emergency Services Headquarters Srinagar, will be stationed at Boniyar for three months with immediate effect to ensure uninterrupted fire and emergency response in the vulnerable belt.
The order further details that eight officials from various fire stations, including Chadoora, Dangiwacha, Kreeri, Baramulla, Kunzar, Gulmarg and Sopore, have been attached with the tender for effective manning and operational support, while another official has been re‑deployed to assist drivers at Command Budgam during the period, with the arrangement to remain in force till completion of the deployment or further directions—(KNO)
